Here is the schedule of Hybridfest general public activities.

SATURDAY, JULY 19

Except where noted, all activities are indoors, in the Alliant Energy Center Exhibition Hall.

Public activities 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: 

  • Hybrid Owners Car Showcase (outdoors on the fairgrounds).  See the variety of models, shapes, sizes, and colors of hybrid cars on the road today.

  • "Talk To a Hybrid Owner" sessions (outdoors on the fairgrounds)

  • Free hybrid car test drives (access via rear of Exhibition Hall)

  • Exhibitor and vendor booths

  • Hybridfest MPG Challenge winning cars on display.

  • 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Presentations on clean transportation and environmental issues in upstairs conference room.

  • 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Speakers on the Hybridfest Stage. Featured speaker: Felix Kramer, founder of CalCars.org.

  • 4:30 p.m.: People's Choice Awards for the Hybrid Owners Car Showcase are presented

  • 5 p.m.: Hybrid Owners Car Showcase Parade out of the fairgrounds

SUNDAY, JULY 20

General Public activities are from noon to 5 p.m.:

  • Free hybrid vehicle test drives

  • Exhibitor and vendor booths (indoors)

  • 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Presentations on clean transportation and environmental issues in upstairs conference room.

  • 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Speakers on the Hybridfest Stage.


 

Yes, Hybridfest is about hybrid cars, but it is also a place for discussion of important issues such as climate change, air quality, and the need for sustainable transportation. Car dealers, environmental groups, vendors, and others will be on hand to make Hybridfest a memorable experience.
